Dr. Rowe is an Associate Professor for the School Psychology Program in the College of Education and Human Development at George Mason University. She teaches graduate-level classes in Prevention, Intervention, and Consultation for Academic and Behavior Problems; Cognitive Assessment; Diversity, Equity, and Social Justice in Schools; and she supervises the school-based practicum in prevention, intervention, and consultation. Dr. Rowe has taught classes in Educational Psychology; Behavior Disorders of Childhood; and Behavior Modification in the Psychology Department at Mason.
As a school psychologist, Dr. Rowe ascribes to the model of a scientist-practitioner. In other words, science and research inform her views of practice in schools, but her practice interests also guide her research. She has published in many of the top journals in school psychology, including School Psychology Quarterly (the American Psychological Association journal of school psychology), School Psychology International, and Educational and Psychological Measurement. She was on the editorial board of the Journal of Psychoeducational Assessment for many years and has served as an ad-hoc reviewer for numerous journals.
Dr. Rowe serves as a member of the University Trainers Committee for the Virginia Academy of School Psychologists (VASP). She is a member of VASP and the National Association of School Psychologists. Dr. Rowe is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist.
Dr. Rowe's research interests are broad and include many of the areas in which she teaches. She is particularly interested in assessment of children and adolescents, as well as school-based interventions for students in K-12 schools.
