The School of Recreation, Health, and Tourism (SRHT) offers exciting, career-ready majors in dynamic fields such as athletic training, tourism and events management, health and physical education, kinesiology, sport management, and recreation management. SRHT features renowned faculty, cutting-edge research, six laboratories and centers, and a diverse student body of more than 1,000 undergraduate and graduate students each year. Profile

Mrs. Jones is the Fieldwork Experience Coordinator for the Hospitality Tourism and Events Management Program.  She began teaching at George Mason in 2006 as an adjunct professor in the TEM program and then became a full-time faculty member in 2014.  Mrs. Jones has 14 year of experience working for the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission as a facility director and program specialist where she designed and implemented a variety of community special events, recreational and educational programs and sports leagues.  Mrs. Jones developed and teaches an online course in Introduction to Events Management.  She is also the online course coordinator for TOUR 190 Wedding Planning and Management.
