College Majors Leading to Most Satisfying Careers are Found in the College of Education and Human Development

Business Insider magazine recently listed the college majors that lead to the most satisfying careers. From the article:
"For some, the best jobs are the ones that make the world a better place, and choosing the right college major can help get you there. PayScale recently filtered its salary data… based on the percentage of respondents who said their careers have high meaning."
The result is 20 college majors that may not offer the largest salary, but do have a good chance of leading to a personally rewarding and fulfilling career.
Students at George Mason University can find six of the top majors in the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD). The college includes the Graduate School of Education and the School of Recreation, Health, and Tourism.

#20 — Early Childhood Education
Learn about the two bachelor's/accelerated master's degrees available in early childhood education. Undergraduate students may also choose to minor in early childhood education. Also available are master's degrees, graduate certificates, and a PhD specialization.

Learn about majoring in therapeutic recreation.
#11 — Athletic Training
Learn about majoring in athletic training.
#10 — Counseling
Learn about master's degrees available in community agency counseling and school counseling.
#8 — Elementary Education
Learn about the bachelor's/accelerated master's degree available in elementary education and other options for becoming an elementary education teacher.
#3 — Community Health Education
Learn about majoring in kinesiology; minoring in health promotion; or minoring in kinesiology. Also available is a master's degree and a PhD specialization in exercise, fitness, and health promotion.
