Each spring, faculty in the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) come together to select an outstanding student in their program to receive the honor of being named as their program award winner at the CEHD Degree Celebration. View the 2025 Outstanding Student Award recipients here.
Out of 5 undergraduate poster presentations, judges selected Hope Falon-Mazer as the recipient of the ‘Outstanding Bachelor’s Poster Presentation.’ Hope’s presentation, Transfer of Habituation of Cognitive Capacity after VR Intervention in Young Adults, was based on research supported by Tiphanie Raffegeau and PhD candidate Kelly Poretti.
Out of 17 master’s degree poster presentations, judges selected athletic training student Kelly Fitzgerald as the recipient of the ‘Outstanding Master’s Poster Presentation.’ Kelly’s presentation, Tibial Tubercle Osteotomy: A Level 4 Case Study, was based on research supported by Amanda Caswell, Marcie Fyock, and Candace Lacayo.
Out of 12 doctoral poster presentations, judges selected doctoral student Salvatore Ferranti as the recipient of the ‘Outstanding Doctoral Poster Presentation.’ Salvatore’s presentation, A Scale Validation of Teaching Self-Efficacy in Kinesiology Faculty, was based on research supported by Debra Stroiney.
This award recognizes student-athletes who have earned at least 38 credit hours and achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher. Read more...
Anne Blackstone, a doctoral candidate in the PhD in Education Program with a concentration in kinesiology, has been selected as a finalist for the Hank Chambers Best Scientific Presentation Award by the Pediatric Research in Sports Medicine Society.
