June 5, 2017
The Nu Alpha Chapter of the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society initiated 15 new members on May 9, 2017. The initiates represent six academic programs from within CEHD’s Graduate School of Education. They are now part of a network of 1.2 million members across 34 countries.
Kappa Delta Pi membership is open to:
- Undergraduate students who have earned at least 30 credits; have at least 12 hours of professional development courses programmed, in progress, or completed; and have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
- Graduate students who have completed 6 or more semester hours of graduate work; have at least 12 hours of professional development courses programmed, in progress, or completed; and have a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher for all graduate coursework completed
Kappa Delta Pi was formed in 1911 with the Nu Alpha Chapter chartered in 1972. The mission of the society is to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to teaching. The founders chose the name from the Greek words to represent knowledge (Kappa), duty (Delta), and power (Pi).
