Running Blogger "Deb Runs" Reviews 3-D Gait Analysis at the SMART Lab

October 21, 2014

Running blogger Debbie Casola laced up her signature pink sneakers and stopped by George Mason's SMART Lab last week to try out the 3-D Gait Analysis and share her experience with readers on her popular blog, DebRuns.com.

Debbie Casola watches the skeletal version of herself run as part of data gathering for the 3-D Gait Analysis offered by the SMART Lab.

Her review provides an in-depth, personal, and entertaining look at what it means to get your gait analyzed in order to run better and prevent injuries.

The SMART Lab is one of only three locations in the United States (and one of only six in the world) that offers 3-D Gait Analysis to the general public. “I am very grateful to the GMU SMART Lab for offering to let me participate in the 3-D Gait Analysis, and would like to thank the staff for such an interesting and informative experience. I would highly recommend this analysis to anyone wanting to improve their running performance,” said Casola.

Information about the SMART Lab and the performance and fitness testing services that are available to the public is at smartlab.gmu.edu/go.

The SMART Lab is located at the Freedom Center in Manassas, Virginia, and is part of a research enterprise at George Mason University called the Sports Medicine Assessment Research & Testing Lab. The SMART Lab represents the university's commitment to producing research of consequence that contributes to solving complex problems and enhances the economic vibrancy of the region.
