Patty Reed is the Senior Grants Accountant for the George Mason University (GMU) College of Education and Human Development (CEHD).  She has been with GMU for 16 years.  She joined CEHD in November 2014 and is responsible for the post award research administration operations which comprises of reviewing and approving the Financial and HR Labor Transactions submitted by the different Divisions of CEHD.   She has worked in the higher education financial and research administration profession for the past 16 years.  Prior to her current role, she held the position of Grants Specialist in the Office of Sponsored Programs at GMU for 10 years.  While in the role as a Grants Specialist, she was responsible for many of the same tasks she performs currently as a Grants Accountant in CEHD with the exception that she was responsible for all the colleges in the university.  Reed holds a BA from West Virginia University and has completed the GMU Office of Sponsored Programs’ Research Administration certificate program.
