Heather Longest is a Research Administration Manager for the George Mason University (GMU) College of Education and Human Development (CEHD). She joined GMU in March 2018 and is responsible for pre-award development and management within the college and post-award approval functions for the Special Education and KIHd units. She has worked in the accounting profession for the past 13 years and has been in higher education financial and research administration positions for the past 9 years. Prior to her current role she held positions as Sponsored Programs Administrator and Virginia Sea Grant Fiscal Officer at the College of William & Mary’s Virginia Institute of Marine Science and as Quality Assurance Analyst at the Virginia Department of Accounts.  Heather is a Certified Research Administrator (CRA) and holds a BSBA from Longwood University.
