Numerical differentiation and integration, initial-value and boundary-value problems for ordinary differential equations, methods of solution of partial differential equations, iterative methods of solution of nonlinear systems, approximation theory. Offered by Mathematics. Limited to three attempts. Equivalent to CDS 410.
Registration Restrictions:

Required Prerequisites: (MATH 214C, 214XS, 214T, 216C or 216T) and (MATH 446C or 446XS).
C Requires minimum grade of C.
XS Requires minimum grade of XS.
