Examines the role, history, internal operations, strategies, and activities of interest groups, primarily at the federal level. We discuss and evaluate the ability and tools used by interest groups to influence or direct government public policy and enhance the democratic process. Considers conditions under which social movements become, or fail to become, effective interest groups and agents of change.Offered by Schar Govt/International Affrs. Limited to three attempts.
