Overview of the field of heritage language education, Including consideration of the linguistic and sociocultural characteristics of heritage language students, empirical research on heritage language education, and a range of instructional approaches, including critical pedagogy. Offered by Modern & Classical Languages. May not be repeated for credit.

Enrollment limited to students with a class of Advanced to Candidacy, Graduate, Junior Plus, Non-Degree or Senior Plus.
Enrollment is limited to Graduate, Non-Degree or Undergraduate level students.
Students in a Non-Degree Undergraduate degree may not enroll.
