This is a gateway course to the field of journalism. It covers the history and practices of the industry, and it explores how technology, economics and culture contribute to how people produce and consume the news. Students gain an understanding of the profession by practicing the foundational skills reporters use to produce accurate, ethical and impactful journalism. Offered by Communication.
