Supriya Baily was recently elected Vice President of the Comparative and International Education Society. She has been a member of CIES since 1996 and has held multiple leadership roles in the organization including her recently completed three-year term as CIES treasurer. CIES has long been dedicated to increasing understanding of educational issues, trends and policies. By bringing academicians, practitioners, policy makers, government officials, activists and others together in a variety of ways, CIES members work to seek solutions to global educational problems. CIES creates spaces for people to learn from and build collaborative relationships to do this work. In her capacity in this four-year term, moving from Vice-President, to President-elect, President and Past President, she hopes to ensure that the organization continues to grow and thrive. Furthermore, she will be planning and convening the 2022 CIES Conference in Minneapolis.
