The Pakistani Teacher Education and Development Project (PTEPDP) was a USAID-funded project that CEHD conducted in conjunction with the Academy for Educational Development (AED). The goal of the project was to reform teacher education in Pakistan. Toward that end, CEHD provided professional development in math and ESL education for approximately one hundred Pakistani teacher educators and university faculty over a three year period. The professional development took place on Mason’s campus during the 2004-2005 academic year and in Islamabad in 2005-2006. As a result of the PTEPDP, CEHD formed research and development partnerships with two universities in Pakistan.
