EdPolicyForward: the Center for Education Policy at George Mason University will hold its second research workshop of the Spring 2026 semester with Dr. Meghan McCormick. Dr. McCormick is the Senior Research & Impact Officer for the Overdeck Family Foundation and leads the Foundation’s investments and support for research and evidence-building. She brings over 15 years of experience as a social science researcher, with past research examining how school- and home-based programs and policies influence children’s development and ameliorate the negative effects of poverty on child and family well-being.

The title of Dr. McCormick’s talk is Demystifying Foundation Funding: How to Align Your Ideas with What Funders Value.
