Dear Colleagues,
As we gear up to welcome our newest students to campus, we are excited to invite you to participate in New Student Convocation - a celebration welcoming all new students to their academic journey at George Mason. The event will be held on Friday, August 22, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at EagleBank Arena.
As always, we’re excited to welcome them and introduce them to the wealth of resources and support available here, including our incredible faculty. We consistently hear that one of our greatest strengths is the direct relationships and one-on-one support provided by our amazing faculty and staff - this message is, of course, reinforced when we can point to a strong faculty presence at the event. With that in mind, I ask that you please help us welcome our newest Patriots by attending the event.
This year, we’re keeping things lively and informal - faculty do not need to process or wear regalia, so feel free to express your school spirit by wearing green and gold. Faculty and staff seating will be in the lower sections of 119, 122c, 113, and 110. All attendees are invited to join us for free ice cream and the kick-off to the Success Resource Fair in Holton Plaza immediately following convocation.
