Ighile Award - Every year, CIE awards an outstanding doctoral student who has shown exemplary service and involvement with the Center for International Education the Ighile award. This award was established to honor Trish Ighile, a doctoral student who was specializing in International Education and ESL before she passed away in 2013. The award honors her commitment to her education and her career as an international educator. Since 2014 seven students have been presented with this award: Syd Merz, Maria Katradis, Kelley Webb, Tami Carsillo, Ahmed Atef, and recent co-recipients April Ege and Woomee Kim.
