CEHD students, it’s that time of year again! The InvestinYOUth Mentorship Application is LIVE for the Fall 2019 semester. Join InvestinYOUth’s mission to invest in the Fairfax County community as they strive to empower high school students within our own local school district.
InvestinYOUth’s one-on-one mentoring, social programming initiatives, and partnerships with community stakeholders are growing and developing with students like YOU! Their aim is to help preserve the integrity of County’s standards, and to provide the capacity and opportunity for students to have support sufficient for their success. At the same time, InvestinYOUth’s efforts are an intervention to help support our teachers and school system with an extra boost of student support, that could make an impact in improving graduation rates in our most vulnerable schools.
FALL SEMESTER OPPORTUNITY:
InvestinYOUth is currently seeking Mason students to empower and encourage student mentees at Mountain View Alternative High School in Centreville. Mentoring has proven to be an invaluable asset to the Mountain View experience. You are invited to apply here. September 17 is the deadline for PRIORITY consideration.
