Housing & Residence Life is pleased to announce the kickoff of their Student Staff Recruitment & Selection process for the 2019-2020 academic year!
This year Housing & Residence Life has altered their positions a bit and will be hiring for four student staff positions:
Community Assistants: Staff will support communities through on-call response, working at an area desk, ensuring safety and security, addressing behavioral concerns, following up with students, and assisting with administrative work. These positions are live-in and staff will be provided a single bedroom in the community where they work.
Resident Assistants: Staff will support communities through peer interactions, providing social and developmental initiatives, mediating conflicts, following up with students of concern, and connecting students with campus resources. These positions are live-in and staff will be provided a single bedroom in the community where they work.
Living Learning Community (LLC) Resident Assistants: In addition to Resident Assistant responsibilities, these students will also work with their assigned LLC by attending programs and off-campus trips, meeting with stakeholders, and assisting with the corresponding LLC class. These positions are live-in and staff will be provided a single bedroom in the community where they work.
Office Assistants: Staff will support communities through working at an area desk, completing administrative work, and interacting with students, staff, and guests while providing quality customer service. These positions will be paid hourly.
All interested candidates should plan to attend an information session between February 4th and 17th. These 60-minute sessions are an excellent way for prospective candidates to meet current members of professional staff teams and gain additional insight into these new positions.
