Secondary Education Program: Capstone Action-Research Course
The Secondary Education Program offers multiple opportunities for studying their own practice and/or gathering data on their impact on student learning. The program culminates with a capstone course in which students conduct their own action-research projects. This course is designed to help beginning teachers understand and apply concepts and principles of teacher research in the study of their practice. Students will learn how to identify and use research literature and systematic evidence to improve practice. Emphasis is placed on linking research and practice to make informed instructional decisions.
