Appointment Policies:

Prior to your initial advising appointment:

  • Create an Endorsement Account online at https://cehd.gmu.edu/endorse. This is required for all teaching areas except Special Education and Health and Physical Education. Follow the steps listed to create and complete your Endorsement form for the area you wish to teach.
  • Once you have created your form and entered your relevant coursework, please email (endorse@gmu.edu) or fax (703-993-2082) your undergraduate transcripts to the Endorsement Specialist for review. Transcripts must include grades for all coursework.

Appointments with the undergraduate Pre-Education Advisor are typically 30 minutes in length. During the initial advising appointment, we will explore different pathways to licensure based on individual needs.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment:

Please do so as soon as possible so we may offer that time to another student. You may cancel or reschedule directly from your appointment confirmation e-mail if it is 24 hours prior to your appointment start time. If less than 24 hours, please contact us via phone (703-993-2080) or e-mail (preteach@gmu.edu) as soon as possible to cancel or reschedule.
