Technology Support

The Office of Technology Support (OTS) provides centralized technology support to CEHD faculty and staff on the Fairfax, Prince William, Arlington and Loudoun campuses as well as instructional multimedia support for courses taught with an online component.

OTS procures and manages hardware and software inventory for faculty, staff and CEHD computer labs and processes a wide variety of requests for technology to include programming, web design and development, equipment loans, technical guidance and troubleshooting.

OTS provides technical support for classrooms that are owned and managed by the College of Education and Human Development. If assistance is needed for equipment set-up; or if the equipment in the CEHD classroom is not operating properly, call OTS for technical assistance at 703-993-5654.


The Office of the Registrar, posts several different time lines, including semester calendars, three year calendars, exam schedules, and add/drop deadlines.

Center for Teaching Excellence

The Center for Teaching Excellence offers a range of support and learning opportunities for instructors across Mason's campuses. The Center provides information specific to teaching at Mason as well as numerous resources created to sustain and enhance your teaching and learning practices.

Writing Center

The Writing Center has trained graduate tutors to assist students. Students can visit the Writing Center to learn more and to check available appointment times.

Office of Disability Services

The Office of Disability Services is available to serve all students with disabilities, including those with cognitive (e.g., learning, psychological, and closed head injury), sensory, mobility, and other physical impairments. Any students indicating a disability or need for special accommodations must be referred to the Office of Disability Services for evaluation and modifications.

English Language Institute

The English Language Institute offers free English language tutoring to non-native English speaking students who are referred by a member of the Mason faculty or staff.

CEHD Computer Labs

OTS staffs and maintains five Fairfax campus computer labs for the use of CEHD faculty, staff and students. In addition to the computer labs, OTS maintains wireless PC and laptop carts that can be reserved for use in classes without technology.
