The School of Recreation, Health, and Tourism (SRHT) offers exciting, career-ready majors in dynamic fields such as athletic training, tourism and events management, health and physical education, kinesiology, sport management, and recreation management. SRHT features renowned faculty, cutting-edge research, six laboratories and centers, and a diverse student body of more than 1,000 undergraduate and graduate students each year. Each major requires one or more internship or clinical experiences, ensuring that students graduate not just with a transcript but with a resume that demonstrates their professional aptitude and skills.

What we do:

The Office of Research provides comprehensive pre-award support to develop competitive proposals for extramural funding

Pre-Award Services:

  • Search for funding
  • Assist with proposal development strategy
  • Facilitate preliminary meetings with potential collaborators
  • Facilitate proposal planning, preparation and university boilerplate
  • Explore ways to make your project fit the sponsor's program
  • Assist with sponsor liaison
  • Assist with the management plan
  • Assist with budget development
  • Review and edit proposal drafts (if received in time)
  • Assist with inter-institutional partnerships
  • Facilitate continued program-building activities and follow-on funding
  • Help prepare large, complex proposals

Other:

  • Provide external proposal editing services
  • Provide external proposal review services
  • Provide annual CEHD Scholarly Achievement Award
  • Advise on university research programs including study leaves, summer research funding and seed grants

  • Thompson Hall, Suite 1400, 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday through Friday
