Dean Ginsberg Visits With Lawmakers on Capitol Hill

Mark R. Ginsberg, dean of the College of Education and Human Development at George Mason University, met recently on Capitol Hill with members of the Virginia Congressional delegation and other legislators.

He discussed the programs, initiatives, and activities of the college while also discussing current Congressional proposals regarding educator preparation programs and associated issues.

Dean Ginsberg also reviewed specific concerns with regulatory proposals with respect to the assessment of colleges and schools of education as well as work currently being undertaken by the Congress to amend the Higher Education Act (HEA) and the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA).
