Athletic Scholarship Brings Track Star to Mason to Study in RHT

October 3, 2013

Daianna Barron is pursuing her dreams, which includes competing on Mason's track team and graduating with a degree in tourism and events management.

The senior from Warrensville Heights, Ohio, received  a four-year track scholarship to George Mason University and holds down several positions on the women’s track team. She’s studying in the School of Recreation, Health, and Tourism and thinking of a career in hospitality.

Then she’s looking for a position in the field she’s going to school for, possibly in a hotel or convention center. And she’s talking about staying in the Virginia area. Mason was the perfect fit for her.”
