Study Sport Management Abroad

Professor Craig Esherick, from the College of Education and Human Development's School of Recreation, Health and Tourism will teach a Sport Management course at Franklin University in Lugano, Switzerland as part of the George Mason University Mason Abroad program. This course will be offered Summer 2016, July 2nd to July 29th.
This Sport Management study abroad program provides an opportunity for students to experience Europe while also learning about how sport organizations make policy, the governance structure of sport organizations, and also discover the many types of sports organizations around the world. This course will not only cover governance organizations in the US but will analyze international governance organizations like the International Olympic Committee, the Commonwealth Games Committee, the Pan American Games organization and individual sport federations like FIFA. All participants will take the course Sport Management (SPMT) 455: Governance and Policy in Sport Organizations, taught by Craig Esherick.
