The following message is from Dean Mark R. Ginsberg:
The College of Education and Human Development expresses our condolences to the families and friends of the victims of the recent tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut. We grieve with those whose lives have been changed forever.
As colleague educators, we also share in the shock and trauma that teachers, school leaders, and other school personnel have experienced as a result of this act of unimaginable violence. As your entire community gathers strength to support all of those so profoundly affected, we hope there is comfort in knowing that we stand with you during this time of deep sorrow. Our hearts too are heavy with sadness and our thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time.
