Kaitlin Romm Receives AKA National Scholar Master's Award

Congratulations to Kaitlin Romm who has been selected as an American Kinesiology Association (AKA) Masters Scholar for 2016. Kaitlin is a student in the Exercise, Fitness, and Health Promotion (EFHP) graduate program within the School of Recreation, Health, and Tourism. She is earning a Master’s of Science degree in Exercise, Fitness, and Health Promotion which focuses on the role of physical activity in the promotion of health, fitness and quality of life.
The AKA Scholar Awards recognize at the national level a select number of students whose academic and leadership records are distinctive. These students, who were nominated by faculty, have demonstrated an exceptional interest in the field of kinesiology by undertaking independent or guided research, assuming leadership positions, and having the potential for making a significant impact on the field.
Kaitlin Romm will receive her certificate and will be listed on the American Kinesiology Association website at American Kinesiology Association
The AKA, an organization of over 140 kinesiology departments housed in colleges and universities nationwide, promotes and enhances kinesiology as a unified field of study and works to advance its many applications. In addition AKA offers a range of services to its member departments. We are pleased that your department is an active member of the American Kinesiology Association.
The Exercise, Fitness, and Health Promotion program is recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Education Recognition Program (ERP) for educational programs that have met, and continue to meet, education guidelines recommended by the NSCA.
