Partnership Begins With Bulgarian University

Dean Ginsberg recently traveled to Bulgaria to begin a formal partnership with a top university in that Eastern Europe country.

Mark R. Ginsberg, dean of the College of Education and Human Development at George Mason University, participated in a series of discussions with colleagues from St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Turnovo in Bulgaria. He traveled to Bulgaria to begin a formal partnership between the universities.

Ginsberg was an honored guest at the 50th anniversary celebrations of St. Cyril and St. Methodius. The university is a respected leader in P-12 education within Eastern Europe and is widely known for excellence in education research and pedagogic training.

It is anticipated that there will be opportunities for exchanges of faculty and students, as well as collaboration on research projects.

CEHD has many alliances with universities from throughout the world. The formalization of a partnership between George Mason and St. Cyril and St. Methodius University is an important new relationship and collaboration for both institutions.
