About the GeMstones Scholarship Program
GeMStones is a program to provide scholarships for outstanding George Mason students and to honor local community members. The program is funded by individual donors or organizations. Each contributor provides $1,000 in funding for one student and identifies one community member to be honored by that contribution. Individuals are encouraged to honor family members, friends, or others who have contributed to the community in the best spirit of George Mason University's mission of "creating an innovative and inclusive academic community committed to creating a more just, free, and prosperous world."
The scholarship will benefit students enrolled in the College of Education and Human Development on the basis of academic merit. In partnership with the CEHD, the vision of the program is to host a large number of deserving CEHD students. Scholarship recipients will be selected by a committee of CEHD faculty and staff appointed by the Dean of the CEHD.
