Event: Research Resilience Workshop

Date: May 20, 2025

Time: 9:00am - 12:30pm

Location: Dewberry Hall

Description:

Dear colleagues and students,

You are invited to the George Mason Research Resilience Workshop, hosted by the Office of Research, Innovation, and Economic Impact. Open to faculty, students, administrators, and research leaders, this half-day event will take place on Tuesday, May 20, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Dewberry Hall.

The workshop will provide a forum to hear from the George Mason community about their concerns and challenges in the current research landscape and consider avenues for moving forward despite those challenges. Break out groups for early career faculty, senior faculty and LAU leadership, graduate students, and research administration and support team members will provide the space to explore possible actionable ideas as well as areas for consideration for senior leadership over the coming months.

We hope this will give everyone the opportunity to share their experiences and consider ways to move forward both this summer and when we return in the Fall.

Please RSVP by Thursday, May 15.

I look forward to seeing each of you there and addressing this important issue.

Sincerely,

Andre Marshall, PhD
Vice President for Research, Innovation and Economic Impact
