SRHT features renowned faculty, cutting-edge research, six laboratories and centers, and a diverse student body of more than 1,000 undergraduate and graduate students each year. Each major requires one or more internship or clinical experiences, ensuring that students graduate not just with a transcript but with a resume that demonstrates their professional aptitude and skills.

Upcoming Alumni Events and Activities

CEHD and George Mason University Alumni can enjoy several "signature" University-wide events every year to welcome our Alumni back to campus. Whether the Alumni Weekend in October, Parents Weekend in the fall, or Homecoming in February, we have programs and events that help you remember why you chose Mason for your education.

CEHD is working hard to incorporate GSE and RHT-specific events, programs and services during these Mason University events. Of course, we'll also have a media-blitz to include posts on social media, e-blasts, postcards, ads in the paper ... we might even give you a call!

About the Kyle Wilson Memorial Scholarship

The Kyle Wilson Memorial Scholarship was established to remember the life and service of Kyle Wilson by the Wilson family and the Prince William County Professional Firefighters local chapter of the International Association of Firefighters.

The scholarship is awarded annually to an outstanding undergraduate student in the School of Recreation, Health, and Tourism at George Mason University who exhibits Kyle's leadership, values, academic achievement, and passion for physical fitness and has been admitted to the professional phase of the Athletic Training Education program.

“Kyle was one of our best students and someone I knew very well,” said Shane Caswell, associate professor in the School of Recreation, Health, and Tourism. "He was always very active and interested in health and fitness and in dedicating his professional life to the service of others."
