The School of Recreation, Health, and Tourism (SRHT) offers exciting, career-ready majors in dynamic fields such as athletic training, tourism and events management, health and physical education, kinesiology, sport management, and recreation management. SRHT features renowned faculty, cutting-edge research, six laboratories and centers, and a diverse student body of more than 1,000 undergraduate and graduate students each year. Each major requires one or more internship or clinical experiences, ensuring that students graduate not just with a transcript but with a resume that demonstrates their professional aptitude and skills.

Alumni Discounts and Campus Facilities

The George Mason University Alumni Association has partnered with various vendors to provide alumni with great discounts on certain products and services. Mason alumni are encouraged to take advantage of the numerous facilities on each of the campuses. Whether you are interested in saving money or looking to borrow a book from the library, chances are you will find the information here. Many discounts require that you show your George Mason University Alumni Association member card. Don't have your card? Patriot Center

For some limited shows touring at the Patriot Center, alumni may receive discounts depending on the performer and availability.

Recent Graduate Membership to Patriot Club

Recent graduates have the opportunity to join the Patriot Club at discounted rates for up to five years following graduation. Sign up for Young Alumni Patriot Club membership to support the Mason Student-Athlete Scholarship fund and start accumulating Patriot Club priority points toward priority ticket and Patriot Club privileges. You will also enjoy benefits including invitations to special Patriot Club Young Alumni functions, such as pregame hospitality functions for men's basketball games and special happy hours. George Mason University Bookstore

Show your Alumni Association member card to a cashier to receive a 10 percent discount on Mason apparel at any campus bookstore. Don't have your card? Log in to our Online Community and print a new card online.

Mason Recreation, Fairfax Campus

Mason alumni may access the Fairfax campus recreation facilities including the Aquatic & Fitness Center, the Skyline Fitness Center, and the Recreation & Athletic Complex (RAC) at $50/month or $500/year. The annual membership also includes a parking pass. Mason recreation features a 50-meter Olympic pool, 25-yard heated recreational pool, spa, diving well, and 3,500-square-foot fitness gallery, which features cardio equipment, Cybex strength-training equipment, and free weights. Specific programs, like Cross-Fit, Yoga, and Pilates may require additional fees. In order to establish a membership, the prospective member should obtain an official transcript from the Registrar’s office or call Mason Recreation Member Services at 703-993-5622 for verification.

The Edge

The EDGE is a hands-on experiential learning, team building, and organizational development training provider located on the Prince William Campus. Alumni receive 15 percent off any program package. or call 703-993-4313 for more information.

Freedom Aquatic and Fitness Center, Prince William Campus

A 15 percent discount is available for Mason alumni either by presenting a coupon or informing member services of your alumni status. Pricing details can be found on the Freedom Center’s website.

Campus Libraries

George Mason University Library Passport Program provides circulation privileges for Fenwick Library, Johnson Center Library, Arlington Campus Library, and Prince William Campus Library. Mason alumni, who give a donation of $50 can receive a library card for one year with a 10-circulating-item limit.

Potomac Arts Academy

A community arts organization, Potomac Arts Academy classes in the arts to community members of all ages, from toddlers to senior citizens. The classes are taught by faculty members and graduate students in the College of Visual and Performing Arts, as well as professionals from the community. Potomac Arts Academy is offering $10 off classes or programs during the academic year (excludes summer classes and private instruction). For classes and to register call 703-993-9889.
