Internships and Practicum

Application Deadlines

Applications will NOT be accepted after the posted deadlines.

  • Fall and Summer: February 15th
  • Fall On-the-Job: May 1
  • Summer On-the-Job (Special Ed/ECSE/UTEEM Only): May 1
  • Spring: September 15th
  • Spring On-the-Job: December 1

On-the-Job Internship Procedures

  1. Download the supplemental "On-the-job application"
  2. Type in the desired information and have your principal/director sign
  3. Make an appointment with your adviser and obtain their signature
  4. Deliver the completed application with both signatures to the placement coordinator in Robinson A309
  5. Additional signatures will be obtained and you will receive written notification of your approval or denial of the On-the-Job internship K-12 programs still must have two internship experiences one in elementary and one in secondary
  6. You must also complete an Internship/Practicum application for the program for which
    you are enrolled.

Application Procedures

Each program requires internship hours to be completed in order to fulfill licensure requirements.

  • First download the application for your program
  • Print 4 copies of your application and supporting documents
  • Advisor must sign documents
  • Deliver internship packets to Jennifer Coratolo (Robinson A 339)

Internship Manuals

Internship manuals tell you all of the requirements for your internship experience. It is MANDATORY that you read your endorsement program’s manual before you begin your internship experience.

You need to check with the program requirements to see what Internship Testing Pre-Requisites are required.
