Profile

Soojin is an Assistive Technology Coordinator at VDOE Training and Technical Assistance Center (T/TAC), focusing on increasing access to the general education curriculum for students with disabilities through the use of AT as well as technology in general. She participates in the statewide Math network and provides Differentiated Instruction in Math using technology. She received her M.Ed in Special Education from Dankook University in Korea. Her dissertation studied an application of AT Assessment Tool for students with severe disabilities. She received a Certificate in Assistive Technology at George Mason University and BA in Computer Science at Seoul Women’s University. While studying for her AT Certificate, she examined the use of interactive whiteboards and various types of AT to provide multiple ways of instruction for teachers, as well as provide multiple ways for students with disabilities to participate in inclusive classroom. Prior to working at TTAC, she taught at Simseok Elementary School in Korea.
