Susan Bon is an Associate Professor in the Education Leadership Program at
Susan teaches in the Education Leadership program for students pursuing the master’s degree or a
Susan’s current research projects are primarily focused on how the law impacts education and the special education rights of exceptional learners, particularly from an ethical perspective. She has authored and co-authored several articles about the statutory and common law rights of exceptional learners to receive educational programs and services (see e.g. Bon, 2008; Bon, Faircloth, & LeTendre, 2006; & Chapple, Baker, & Bon, 2007).
Her ongoing research projects include an exploration of the intersection between law and ethics, analysis of special education litigation, due process hearing outcomes, special education leadership training, and legal analysis of the public policy implications of entering settlement agreements with unfit educators.
