Profile

Dr. Rigsby is an adjunct associate professor in the Graduate School of Education at George Mason University. Recently retired from the tenure track ranks, he has served as Program Director and faculty member in the Initiatives in Educational Transformation Program. He continues to teach with one of the four faculty teaching teams in the program. He has written and presented research on the program. Recent conference papers have been presented on developing literacy among immigrant parents associated with a preschool and on teachers’ writing development.

Dr. Rigsby has focused his research, teaching, and writing in recent years on issues of professional development for teachers.
