Profile

Karen Berlin serves as an Intellectual Disabilities and Autism Coordinator for T/TAC. Karen is a member of the Autism Priority Project and the Instructional Priority Project for students with intellectual disabilities. Karen received her undergraduate degree from Penn State University, and her M./Ed in Special Education from Georgia State University. She is dually certified in early/middle education and special education, with endorsements in emotional disturbance, mental retardation, and severe disabilities. Karen has a variety of field-related experiences. She has taught students, preschool through adulthood, with mild, moderate, and severe disabilities in a variety of settings. The majority of her work has been with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Her particular areas of interest are behavior, communication, vocational training, family supports, and inclusion.
