Jessica Guzzo is the Senior Director of Research Administration for the George Mason University (GMU) College of Education and Human Development (CEHD). Guzzo joined GMU in December 2013 and is responsible for the management and oversight of the pre-award and post-award research administration operations of the college. She has worked in the accounting profession for the past 25 years and has been in higher education financial and research administration leadership and management positions for the past 19 years. Prior to her current role she held positions as the college’s Director of Post Award Services, the Director of Finance and Business for North Carolina State University’s Friday Institute for Educational Innovation and the Director of Sponsored Programs for the College of William & Mary’s Virginia Institute of Marine Science.  Guzzo is a Certified Research Administrator (CRA), Certified Pre-Award Research Administrator (CPRA) and a Certified Financial Research Administrator (CFRA) and has a BA from Old Dominion University. She is an instructor for the “Award Acceptance & Management” session of the GMU Office of Sponsored Programs' Research Administration certificate program and the “Financial Compliance” session of the GMU Office of Research Development, Integrity and Assurance’s advanced certificate program.
