Go to http://blackboard.gmu.edu
Your user name is probably (but not necessarily) the same as the user name for your Mason email account. For example, if your Mason email is jsmith32@gmu.edu, your Blackboard user name is probably jsmith32. Either your instructor or a Blackboard administrator creates your user name for you. Ask your instructor first. If you do not have a user name in Blackboard, or if you have forgotten your user name, it is your instructor's responsibility to create a user name and/or tell you want your user name is. If your instructor does not know how to do this, contact OTS
Your password may or may not be the same as your GMU email password. The person who created your account for you should have told you what your password is. You can change the password later (see the next question below). If you have forgotten your password, ask your instructor to reset your password for you. If your instructor does not know how to do this, have the instructor contact OTS.
After logging into blackboard, click on Personal Information in the lower left hand menu, then select the link to change your password. Once you change your password, you will be the only one who knows what it is. If you forget your password, you will need to ask your instructor to reset it. If your instructor does not know how to do this, have the instructor contact OTS
If this is the case, it probably means that your instructor has not added you to the class. Your instructor must enroll you, either by looking up your current user name or by creating a user name for you if you have never used Blackboard at GMU before. In some cases, the instructor may have enrolled the wrong student by accident. You should first contact your instructor, because it is the instructor's responsibility to enroll you. If your instructor has difficulties with this process, contact OTS
