Koscina Renaud

A total of 37 graduating students will be recognized this weekend for outstanding academic achievement by the College of Education and Human Development at George Mason University.

One of the award recipients is Koscina Renaud, a graduate student in the Early Childhood Education program, part of the college's Graduate School of Education.

Koscina is earning a master's degree in education, with a concentration in Early Childhood Education for Diverse Learners. She is a preschool teacher at Friendship Blow Pierce Elementary School in Northeast Washington, D.C.

She was "thrilled and proud" to receive this recognition from her program of study:

"One of the best parts of the program was being able to collaborate with other professionals from various schools and school districts. I have learned many best practices along the way, and I enjoy implementing them in my classroom.

"The professors are knowledgeable and I truly appreciate the professors and this program for pushing me to be a better educator!"

Our very best wishes to Koscina Renaud and all the graduates in the Class of 2015 who carry with them a passion to educate.
