Counseling and Development Receives Outstanding Master's Program Award

November 12, 2013

The Counseling and Development program at George Mason University was recognized last month with the 2013 Outstanding Master's Program award.

The prestigious recognition is from the southern division of the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, the association's largest division.

Congratulations to the faculty members of the award-winning Counseling and Development program! From left to right: Fred Bemak, Adrienne Douglass, Regine Talleyrand, George McMahon, Rita Chi-Ying Chung, Joseph Williams, and Rachael Goodman.

The Outstanding Master's Counselor Education Program award was presented at the national association's bi-annual conference in Denver in October. The nomination was based on the Counseling and Development program's distinctive practices in the areas of counseling socially and culturally diverse populations and professional identity. The graduate program is part of Mason's College of Education and Human Development.
