Program Information

Is this program for you?

Requirements for applicants:

  • Admitted to Mason Special Education Program
  • Praxis I
  • Coursework should be started before start of internship year
  • Helpful if EDSE 501 and EDSE 502 have been completed prior to internship

How to apply?

  • Complete IA Internship application before May 1st prior to internship
  • Complete a panel interview with FCPS principals and Mason faculty
  • Principals in FCPS select graduate students from the panel interviews. If selected for an IA position in FCPS, then
  • an application for student teaching through the Office of Student and Faculty Services needs to be filled out
