Description:
Deepens understandings of how language and culture shape interpretations that affect people's lives. Investigates student achievement in relationship to classroom experiences and the language and cultural knowledge students bring to school. Examines vernacular discourses, including those in cyberspace and popular culture, while considering pedagogical implications. Probes social justice issues in and out of educational institutions. Offered by Graduate School of Education. May not be repeated for credit.
Registration Restrictions:
Enrollment is limited to Graduate or Non-Degree level students.
Students in a Non-Degree Undergraduate degree may not enroll.
