MATH 112: Discrete Mathematics for IT

General Information

Credit hours: 3

Description: Introduces ideas of discrete mathematics including mathematical induction, sets, logic, graphs, trees, basic counting arguments, and discrete probability. Students who have received credit for MATH 125 may not receive credit for this course.

Prerequisite(s): Specified score on Math Placement Test, or successful completion of self-paced Algebra Tutorial Program offered through Math Learning Center. Prerequisite enforced by registration system.

Notes: Intended for IT students; does not count toward a major or minor in mathematics.
