Associated Academic Programs

Overview

While the Center for International Education (CIE) does not directly offer academic programs, it supports academic programs that offer degree, licensure, and certificate credentials directly associated with international education.

I. FAST TRAIN
For example, CIE is closely associated with the FAST TRAIN programs offered within the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD). Established in 1990, these graduate programs provide certificate, licensure and/or master’s degrees for teachers around the world in elementary education, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and special education. Some 200 teachers join us every summer to renew acquaintances, study up-to-date practices and delve into the world of teaching and learning; others come to begin their doctoral programs emphasizing international education.

II. PhD in International Education
Also offered within CEHD, this program is a concentration within the PhD in Education program and is closely associated with CIE.
